Today is Pie Day and in math class we had so much junk food. And we had Parcc and an assembly that day. So each class was 30 minutes each which was very rewarding. Then we had this little rally #What'syour17 and we made a heart then a 17 inside of it. It's about the Florida school shooting and wanting to make a  difference or a change in gun violence and gun laws. We should prevent any automatic weapons from being bought. They should be absolutely Illegal. And one of my teachers used to go to that school and her friend had got shot saving a child and died in the hospital. We were in her class mourning over the dead teachers and students.Image result for pi day

This quote would represent me in many ways, usually I'm a nervous wreck trying to talk in front of everyone and this quote had helped me. When I get up in front of everyone, all I think of is what if this goes wrong or what if I mess up. This quote represents me because I want to be motivated to help change the world, I'm in this club called MetoWe and we help raise money to help people in need around the world, and right now we're collecting cans to send to a food pantry to help people around our neighborhood for people who  can't provide food for themselves. Independent I want to be more independent for my New Years resolution, because it’s hard for me to say no to someone or hard to be myself around other people. And it helps me find the real me and who I want to be instead of following what others do. This word connects to my life by helping me understand that, people can’t take control over you if you don’t let them. And it teaches my not to be as gullible and I become more bold and straight forward. This word means everything to me, it will help me get through in life and help me to find out what 8 want to be when I grow up. My first step to live this word is, whenever someone asks me to do something I don’t wanna do I’m gonna say no and that’s it, no excuses just no. Because if I continue letting people control me I won’t be able to do anything by myself. All American Boys Book Talk!

I just finished this book called All American Boys, It’s a novel created by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely. This book talks about something that happens in Chicago a lot and it’s a problem, this is a very relatable book and I can relate because it’s happened to me before but in a different way. All American Boys is about this boy named Rashad and this boy name Quinn and something really horrible happens to Rashad before a party and the person who did the horrible thing to Rashad is actually Quinn’s admirer and something between the two happens because Quinn can’t stop thinking or talking about Rashad because what the person did was very wrong of him. My favorite part of this book is when everyone cares about Rashad and everyone goes out of their way to support Rashad in this incident.
